SNOWBIRD GOLFER (definition)

History of this Smart Bird

The history of the Snowbird Golfer goes back as long as golf lovers have tried to dodge the snow and winter temperatures for green grass and sunshine.  Snowbirds are some of the brightest birds you’ll ever meet.  Wisely exiting their northern homes on an annual basis, they enjoy all the benefits of 21 century mobility.  (ie. Cars, Planes, Trains, etc)  Snowbirds used to be easy to identify and would stand out in a crowd years ago.  Not anymore though, snowbirds have continued to extend their southern trips and have even set up permanent nests (homes) in the area.  These extended visits have allowed these crafty birds to blend in and play more golf without leaving the large divots they were known for in the past.  Most of these “Bright Birds” are now annual Platinum Golf Members and are seen frequently smiling and enjoying themselves on local golf courses.
